For companies with 50 to 500 employees

Different shifts.
A shared starting point.

Pairio is an AI assistant for industrial maintenance. In companies with 50 to 500 employees, it turns each completed job into a structured report the next shift can read, and makes earlier work searchable when a repair passes from one technician to another.

How does the next shift find out what has already been checked?

When a repair passes from one technician to another, the useful part is rarely in the work order. The outgoing technician knows which readings were taken, which cause was ruled out and what is still open; the incoming one reads “in progress”. Pairio takes a dictated account at the end of a shift and structures it into a report that names the asset, the observed symptom, the checks already completed and the question still open. The next technician starts from that record instead of beginning the investigation again.

What counts as a growing maintenance operation?

“Growing operations” describes how maintenance is organised, not a revenue figure. In this guide, three markers define the context:

  • Five to twenty people carry out maintenance, usually across more than one shift.
  • A work order system exists, but what gets written into it varies from technician to technician.
  • New colleagues join faster than practical machine knowledge is written down.

Two technicians can describe the same fault in words that never meet in a search. At this size, the problem is not that nothing is recorded. It is that what is recorded cannot be found or compared.

What Pairio does

Record a completed job by voice
A spoken account plus photos becomes a structured report: problem, checks, actions and parts.
Search machine documentation
A question in plain language returns relevant information with references to the available documentation.
Search previous repairs
Search by symptom or asset to find relevant earlier maintenance reports.
Turn recorded work into instructions
A demonstration recorded with smart glasses becomes a reusable work instruction.

An illustrative example

The day shift inherits an unfinished investigation.

A conveyor on a packaging line stops intermittently. The night shift technician checks the drive, rules out the motor and replaces a proximity sensor, but the fault returns before his shift ends. He dictates what he checked and what remains open. The incoming technician reads his report, including that the fault returned under load. She verifies those findings on the machine, investigates the load condition using the site’s diagnostic procedure and records what she finds. The report now covers both shifts; the earlier checks provide context, not proof of the current cause.

Follow one job across two shifts

  1. Choose a job that will not finish within one shift.

  2. Have the outgoing technician dictate what was checked and what is still open.

  3. Ask the incoming technician to continue from that report, then note which questions still required a conversation.

Questions growing maintenance teams ask

How do we get consistent reports from technicians with different habits?

The structure comes from Pairio, not from the technician. Each person describes the job in their own words by voice, photo or video. The report always returns the same fields: asset, symptom, checks performed, action and parts. Consistency stops depending on who is on shift.

Does Pairio work alongside our existing CMMS?

Yes. Pairio is not a CMMS and does not replace one. The CMMS keeps work orders and schedules; Pairio captures what happens at the machine and makes documents and history searchable. It connects to common ERP and document management systems, without migration or system replacement.

Can a new technician use previous reports to get up to speed?

Yes, for machine-specific knowledge that usually sits in one colleague’s head: how this machine has failed before, what was checked, which step solved it. Manuals add the manufacturer’s view. Reports give context, not qualification — unfamiliar or safety-relevant work still needs a qualified colleague.

How long does setup take?

Pairio builds on documents and maintenance history that already exist. No data migration or system replacement is required. What sets the pace is document access and the systems involved. A single line or asset group can go first, before any wider rollout.
